COVID-19 UPDATE 7.14.20
Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this pandemic. As you are hearing on the news, the cases in Florida and Duval County are increasing. Governor Ron DeSantis has extended the no visitation to skilled nursing and assisted living communities emergency order for another 60 days as a result of the increasing cases. The safety of our Residents is of utmost priority to us. Fleet Landing continues to have restricted visitation to our community. We are testing all team members per the state requirement in Leeward Manor, Nancy House and Derfer Pavilion every two weeks. We are also, per CDC guidelines, testing Derfer Pavilion Residents due to a Resident testing positive last week. The Resident was asymptomatic and was moved to the appropriate location. There are currently three Residents at the Northeast Florida designated COVID-19 facility, all continue to be asymptomatic. They will be able to return to Derfer Pavilion upon receiving negative test results per CDC guidance.
We continue to screen all staff and Residents in our health services environments at least twice a day for symptoms of COVID-19. Team members working in other areas of our community are screened daily, including a temperature check. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
