COVID-19 Update 1.22.2021

Earlier this week, Fleet Landing hosted it's second vaccination clinic in partnership with Walgreens pharmacy. Derfer Healthcare Pavilion, Leeward Manor, and Nancy House Residents and team members received the Pfizer vaccine booster (2nd dose) while independent living Residents and additional team members received their 1st dose of the vaccine. COVID-19 Update 1.12.2021

The COVID-19 vaccine is top of mind for all of our Residents. The monumental task of rolling out the vaccine has been challenging thus far for both our country and state. Fleet Landing is not immune to these challenges. We are in daily communication with Walgreens, which has been tasked by the State to administer the vaccine to communities like ours. COVID-19 Update 1.6.2020

Fleet Landing has received encouraging news that Independent Living Residents will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine under the Assisted Living Vaccination program as set forth by the State of Florida. Fleet Landing Resident Wins Gold Medals in Two Different Sports

After winning a pair of Florida Senior Games Racquetball gold medals over the weekend at Richey Racquet, in Port Richey, Don Husmann made a stop in Gainesville, on his way home to Atlantic Beach, to win a Table Tennis gold medal in the 90-94 age group. On Tuesday, Husmann, won the Men’s Singles 90-94 age group gold medal, playing matches against Deane Chickering, of The Villages, and Robert Johnson, of Sun City Center, both registered in the 85-89 age group...

COVID-19 Update 12.23.2020

Fleet Landing is pleased to share that our community received our first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine this week. Walgreens pharmacy has been on-site to provide the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine to our Residents and team members in the Derfer HealthCare Pavilion, home to our most vulnerable population. We anticipate that they will also provide vaccines to Residents in Leeward Manor and Nancy House.

COVID-19 Update 12.17.2020

Fleet Landing continues to receive new information regarding the highly anticipated COVID-19 vaccine. Our most recent information indicates that the state will first provide skilled nursing facilities with the vaccine for administration to Residents and staff, and will then move to the assisted living communities. The Fleet Landing health services team is communicating pertinent details to Residents and families so that we are prepared for when the vaccine becomes available to us. We will communicate information regarding vaccines for our Residents and team members in our independent living neighborhoods as it becomes available.

COVID-19 Update 12.09.2020

Fleet Landing is encouraged by the news of a COVID-19 vaccine becoming available. We are working closely with state and local public health agencies to stay apprised of the vaccination process. At this time, we know that Governor Ron DeSantis plans to include skilled nursing and assisted living Residents and team members in the first wave of vaccinations. We anticipate learning more in the coming days and weeks and will share with you what we learn and our plans.
